Where we work, from Newark out to the counties around it and down to the shore
Most of our work runs out of the Newark service office. Our head office in Margate City covers Atlantic County, so the shore towns get the same inspector line and the same standards.
Answering 24/7 from our Johnson St office in Newark
We cover Newark and its neighborhoods first, then Essex County, then the counties around them: Hudson, Union, Passaic, Bergen, Morris and Middlesex, including Jersey City, Hoboken, Bayonne, Elizabeth, Paterson, Clifton, Edison and New Brunswick. Atlantic County, including Margate City and the other Absecon Island towns, is covered from our head office in Margate City. One phone line reaches both offices.
Newark's own neighborhoods
Within the city, the seven neighborhoods with their own pages are the ones whose housing drives most of our Newark calls: the dense blocks of the Ironbound in the East Ward, the historic homes of Forest Hill and the older blocks of Broadway in the North Ward, the small apartment buildings of Roseville, the one- and two-family streets of Vailsburg in the West Ward, and Weequahic and Clinton Hill in the South Ward. Each page explains what the housing there tends to hide.
Newark and the rest of Essex County
Newark is home base. The city's housing is old, mostly rented and often built over basements that take water in hard storms, so a large share of our Essex County calls start with a musty basement, a leak from the unit above or a backup through a floor drain. From the Johnson St office, the Ironbound and the wards around downtown are the shortest drives we make, and the suburbs to the west are close behind.
Jersey City and the Hudson waterfront
Across the Passaic and the Hackensack, Jersey City and the rest of Hudson County bring a different mix: dense multi-family buildings and a combined sewer system that shares its treatment plant with Newark. Apartment inspections, drain backups and ceiling leaks between units make up most of this work, and the same holds in Hoboken, Union City and Bayonne, each with its own page.
Elizabeth and the Rahway River towns
South of Newark, Elizabeth and the rest of Union County sit along the Elizabeth and Rahway rivers, and both rivers have flooded homes badly in recent storms. That flood history carries into Middlesex County, where the Rahway basin and the Raritan shape a lot of the post-flood mold we see in Edison, Woodbridge and New Brunswick.
Paterson, Clifton and the Passaic River valley
Upriver, Paterson, Clifton and the rest of Passaic County live with the Passaic River, which has a long flood record at the Little Falls gauge. Basement flooding, river-water cleanup and the mold that follows a slow dry-out are the main jobs here, including in the city of Passaic and in Wayne.
The Meadowlands edge and the Morris County hills
In Bergen County, low-lying towns along the Hackensack River, including Hackensack itself, have seen tidal surge flooding, while homes away from the river bring the same attic, bathroom and basement calls we see across North Jersey. West of Essex, Morris County homes deal with the same heavy-rain events that hit northern New Jersey, and with basements and crawl spaces that stay damp long after.
Margate City and Atlantic County
Our head office in Margate City covers Atlantic County. Shore homes on Absecon Island sit close to tidal water, many on crawl spaces, so crawl space mold, encapsulation and post-storm cleanup lead the work there, alongside the same inspections and testing we do up north, from Margate City to Atlantic City.

How far we go, and how to check your address
Our regular coverage is the North Jersey counties named above, reached from Newark, and Atlantic County, reached from Margate City. Response time depends on distance and on how busy the day is, so we tell you on the call when we can realistically get there rather than promising a window we cannot keep.
If your address sits near the edge of one of these counties or between them, call and ask. You will get a straight answer on the first call about whether we can take the job and when.
